Sherrod Brown (D/NRA F) v Jim Renacci (R/ NRA A) losing

Is there anything we can do to change this equation? It saddens me to think we will lose this opportunity to switch a seat. The PD says most polls have Renacci down by 10 points and he is being outraised by 10 to 1.

Just speaking for myself, I don't know that anything will make a difference. I had never heard of Renacci till he was running for the office. I think it just boils down to name recognition. Plus the negative ads about him. I'll vote for him just because he is the Republican candidate. Brown is just too well known.

There was a time when just having "Brown" as a last name was a serious plus....

IMHO, the attack ads against Renacci have been silly, but they're aiming for the unlettered. Defense lawyers don't necessarily support the offenses. They're there to see that the defendant gets his due process. The money may be pretty good, too.

Stu.

Warren County Republican headquarters is running phone banks every week. Thursdays are 'Renacci Nights' I think. Find your local phone bank, door knockers etc or check with the NRA-ILA as they are doing them also.

The ads here have trumpeted his (Renacci's) ownership in nursing homes, and voting against legislation to regulate the same.

I've seen a lot of pro Brown ads, and a lot of anti Renacci ads, but absolutely no pro Renacci or anti Brown ads on TV. Did the Republican party basically just write off Renacci's chances?

I was over at a relatives house last week, and an anti Jim Renacci ad was on TV. It was paid for by some PAC I mentioned how I hate negative political ads, and she agreed, she hates them too, said some negative ad against someone was on tv all the time. She made the comment that "that ad on right now, I don't even know who this guy is or what he's running for anyway."

The ads regarding opposing additional nurses training are extremely misleading, and the ANA's socialistic proposals would just increase an already existing nursing shortage, potentially putting millions of LPN's and RN's out of work. It's so far left the ANA can't even get their wish list passed in states with total Democratic control, because even the Democratic politicians there know how unworkable it is.

I get the ANA’s emails. Every politician they endorsed is democrat. No surprise.

I don’t read the majority of what they send. Now I’m going to have to find their proposal. Not doubting the socialist nature of the proposal one bit.

Unless they've changed their tune recently, they used to argue for the RN standard to be a Bachelors degree nationwide, and a Master degree mandatory for anything above staff nurse. Also an increase in LPN requirements. Also a low number of nurse to patient ratio, elimination or reduction of doctors using medical assistants in place of RN's, etc. This is as far back as 94, 95, etc. They were one of the biggest backers of Obamacare.

I forgot that I had some Renacci signs in my garage, I need to put them in the yard ASAP.
